This was booked by our cruise. Thank you. Was best paella we had in Barcelona, even we staid there for few more days. Appetizers were a local selection, and our requests were accommodated without questions or annoyance. :). Setting by the sea is an extra advantage. It was a great start for our Barcelona days! Thank you!

Food was delicious and I loved their mix sea food fried platter. They also accommodated our kid by customising a pasta dish. Good choice of drinks but limited choice for vegetarians. Prices are little dear than for the quantity of food, especially only 2 Bruschettas slices for the menu price. However 5 stars on all other fronts so will recommend if you don’t mind the tourist prices.

Nestled by the vibrant seafront at Pca. de Pau Vila in Barcelona’s historic Ciutat Vella, MOLO 39 Palau De Mar stands out as a culinary gem with a striking blend of traditional Catalan flavors and fresh seafood delights. This charming spot, just a stone’s throw from the port and under the watchful eye of the Historical Museum of Catalonia, perfectly captures the lively spirit of Barcelona’s waterfront dining scene.

From the moment you arrive, MOLO 39 offers more than just a meal—it delivers an experience. The setting, framed by panoramic views of the harbor and the iconic port wheel, adds an atmospheric backdrop that complements the expertly crafted dishes. Customers often mention the warm and attentive service, with staff going above and beyond—whether that’s customizing dishes to accommodate dietary needs or offering cozy blankets on cooler evenings, enhancing the overall dining pleasure.

The culinary highlight remains their authentic paella, often praised as the best in Barcelona by seasoned travelers. It’s rich, generous, and brimming with locally sourced seafood that speaks volumes about the kitchen’s commitment to quality and tradition. Complementing the paella is a tempting array of appetizers that showcase the local palette, alongside signature fried seafood platters that are both crispy and flavorful. Even the simpler dishes, like a well-sized calzone with a molten center, deliver on taste and value, providing hearty satisfaction without breaking the bank.

While vegetarians might find the options somewhat limited, the kitchen does make thoughtful accommodations upon request, reflecting a flexible and guest-focused approach. The drink selection, especially local beers like San Miguel, rounds out the meal perfectly, making MOLO 39 a well-rounded dining destination.

Overall, MOLO 39 Palau De Mar impresses with its combination of spectacular sea views, authentic Catalan flavors, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where each dish feels like a celebration of Barcelona’s rich maritime heritage and vibrant culinary culture—a memorable start or continuation to any foodie’s journey through the city.
